this is a hand painted warp (vertical threads) and hand woven with cotton fabric strips in a technique called "ripsmatta" or "rep" weave. hand painting, weaving and finishing all done by Tammy L Deck.
Tammy teaches Dyeing techniques, as well as, weaving, felting, knitting machine (and hand knitting) glass fusing, bead weaving on a loom and other beaded jewelry and mixed media techniques.

GLASS FUSING CLASS: COMPREHENSIVE BEGINNERS CLASS FOR JEWELRY DESIGN
Fused Glass Class

11am to 4 pm
$80 glass and tool use included
Students will get a great introduction to the process of fusing glass during this 1 session class. Glass cutting will be taught, glass varieties and COE will be discussed, kiln use will be experienced. Students will be shown how to build their own set of dichroic glass cabochons (1 pair for earrings and 1 larger for pendant) ready to begin firing by the 30 minute break. Students will have the opportunity to be involved in the kiln control and watch the full-fuse firing through the viewing window of our kiln. After the break, students will build a larger, pendant piece which will include a resist to create a horizontal stringing channel ready to be fired by the end of class (all class work may be picked-up a few days later).
