What can you do with handweaving?  scarves, shawls, baby wraps for baby wearing, baby blankets (heirloom), table runners, decorative and useful towels, fabric for fashion design, works of art, floor rugs and runners, tapestry, table cloth, window treatments.
So, Basically....just about anything you could do with a "run of the mill" fabric but better...because it comes from your hands, heart and love.

Learn to Weave or come for a refresher course....I've been chatting with quite a few of you lately that have looms sitting idle.  NOW.... is the perfect time to get re-aquainted.

I'm located in Westmont, IL (near Oak Brook) a Chicago Suburb in DuPage County and we are walking distance from the Chicago to Aurora Metra Line out of Union Station.  I can start you out any day/date you wish with loads of flexibility!!  Phone me to get started: (630) 963-9573.

Current Adult Students are weaving heirloom Throws, BabyWraps (for baby wearing) or unique "name-draft" baby blankets for newborn gifts. Stunning Color and Weave Effect Guest Towels, Cozy Neck Scarves (bulky and full to narrow and long), sturdy weave structure samplers sewn into Messenger bags and tablet sleeves (we can teach or coach you on sewing and finishing, too!)....and High End Fashion Fabrics for truly one-of-a-kind apparel and accessory items. 

Some are interested in the idea of recycled, up-cycled, green and sustainable material choices.  Think Floor Runners and rugs from reclaimed textile cuts, new fabrics from slit men's silk ties, unraveling thrift store sweaters for low investment luxury fibers like cashmere and merino wools and silk....even some of our pet cats and dogs have usable fiber once spun into a yarn (Yes, we teach spinning here, as well)

If you'd like to just come by and check out the Design Center & Gallery of finished work we keep regular "shop" hours of Wednesday through Thursday 11am to 6pm (8:30pm most Wednesdays)
